Bat Trapping and Removal Companies in Holiday Lakes

The summer observations allow us to be prepared for exclusions when the proper time comes. Trapping and removal of a bat in Texas can be tricky and should never be attempted if the bat was found in a room where people were sleeping. This would be pointless, not to mention very harmful to the bats, and usually resulting in a failed exclusion. While at your property, Holiday Lakes bat control will identify the entry points bats are using to access your home and make recommendations to exclude them permanently. Appropriate treatment has to be given to the person bitten by bats or any animals that might carry the rabies virus. Nuisance bats suspected of having rabies should always be left for professionals to remove.

HOW DO I GET RID OF BATS FROM AN ATTIC? Bat removal is not a simple task. The real challenge is meticulous work, and not missing a single tiny area. There is no effective bat repellent for example that can do the job easily. The proper way to get rid of them is to exclude the colony – seal off 100% of possible secondary entry points on the home and remove all of the bats from the building safely.  The next time you see a bat pass close by, you should be thankful. It is often very challenging, and it must be done just the right way. An amateur attempt, by someone with no experience, or worse, a pest control company that uses bat poison, could result in disaster – dead, rotting bats, and bats swarming throughout the walls and the home. When this happens it can be a natural reaction to try chasing the animal out with a racket or a broom.

This is the final step in the exclusion process. Yes, but it is rare. Most homeowners policies will not cover any rodent damage or removal, but since bats are not rodents contacting your agent prior to an exclusion is suggested. Excluding the mother bats during that period would create a problem even worse than having the bats in your attic, as the young bats would die without their mother to feed and care for them. What Is Rabies? Rabies is a disease that is caused by the virus Lyssavirus Rabies. From this point use the netting over the entry but don’t seal it up. They are more abundant in rainforests and tropical climates. Accumulations of their droppings (guano) can cause odor and bug problems, which is the primary reason bats should be excluded from a structure occupied by people. It's hard to get bats to live in a bat house. Stop worrying about your health and your home and call us today. Why even attempt poisons, when a live exclusion is so much more effective? You can read more about how to kill bats with bat poison here.

One of the most common diseases you have to worry about with bats is histoplasmosis as well as rabies. Most people do not tolerate that idea very well, and it becomes necessary to evict the bats and repair the structure as needed to prevent them from entering in the future. People who fail to research the subject will usually seal the holes during the day when the bats are roosting inside. The biggest problem that comes with bats is the guano. Certain bat species may hibernate in groups or "clusters", so a single bat appearing in your home during the winter could possibly indicate there are more bats hibernating in the structure. Their echolocation system enables them to locate a tiny insect flying in total darkness. Gaps under doors leading to attics and closets are common entry points. We recently (Aug/05) added a HEPA-vac to our equipment, and are now able to offer attic or other clean-outs. Your attic is much better. Because of my experience, and knowing what it takes to do it right, and the consequences of failure, I highly recommend hiring a professional who has a lot of experience. In these cases you should treat the removal in much the same way as if they were in your attic.

If given the opportunity they will quickly sneak into your home and set up shop there. Though a bat isn’t an aggressive animal or a top carrier of rabies they can transmit the disease. Thus, with time, bat colonies can grow to enormous sizes. If it was that easy to solve bat problems, I would not be working 70+ hours a week from April through October. In these cases you should treat the removal in much the same way as if they were in your attic. This is the final step in the exclusion process. During these months the bats in your attic are either delivering their baby or taking care of the flightless pup. Performing an inspection requires every inch of the structure to be checked thoroughly, top to bottom. Bat colonies want to roost in a safe place - a cave, for example. In very small amounts it's not a huge deal. We provide a detailed warranty info sheet for all exclusion programs.
