Bat Trapping and Removal Companies in Simonton

Many of the southern bats migrate to different areas as climates change. Trapping and removal of a bat in Texas can be tricky and should never be attempted if the bat was found in a room where people were sleeping. It is very common for bats to find their way into the living quarters of homes, usually during warmer summer temperatures when we use our air conditioning. While at your property, Simonton bat control will identify the entry points bats are using to access your home and make recommendations to exclude them permanently. The other commonly found bat is the Little Brown Bat. Nuisance bats suspected of having rabies should always be left for professionals to remove.

HOW DO I GET RID OF BATS FROM AN ATTIC? Bat removal is not a simple task. The bats most commonly found using homes for roosts are the Little Brown Bat and the Big Brown Bat. There is no effective bat repellent for example that can do the job easily. The proper way to get rid of them is to exclude the colony – seal off 100% of possible secondary entry points on the home and remove all of the bats from the building safely.  These devices can be placed over the entry and when the bats emerge, they cannot return back to the colony. It is often very challenging, and it must be done just the right way. An amateur attempt, by someone with no experience, or worse, a pest control company that uses bat poison, could result in disaster – dead, rotting bats, and bats swarming throughout the walls and the home. They do not want to be in your home, but are simply reacting to cool air currents on instinct.

They are generally harmless animals, they don't chew on wires like rodents do, but the main problem they cause is that they poop and pee a lot. Wear a pair of thick, leather gloves. They mate in the fall, but delay fertilization, and one pup is born in early June, and can fly about eight weeks later. Bat houses do not increase the chance of having bats in your home. In addition, access can be hard. Otherwise, they migrate and return each spring. Gently carry the bat out and lay in grass near a tree or shrub. We sometimes inspect structures during the late fall or winter season, but it may only allow us to provide a rough estimate if poor weather conditions prevent us from climbing on the structure or using ladders. They are not. If this doesn’t work, or if the bat seems injured, sleepy or sick you will need to be more active in removal. 1. Are all bats harmless?

  2. Do bats attack people?

  3. How do you clean up bat droppings?

In very small amounts it's not a huge deal. Temperatures above 45 degrees are suitable, and it is common for Big Browns to hibernate in homes and buildings. Often people think this swooping is the bat diving in trying to attack people. The question becomes, how do you go about doing that? If you are not exactly sure where the bat went you have some work ahead of you. Some bats will come out of hibernation a couple times during the winter to rehydrate, as they may sometimes be seen flying outdoors in December through February. It would actually be very nice, because then we could remove bats easily (and harmlessly, just like a real exclusion). In fact, some species eat up to half their body weight in insects daily and nursing mothers will eat even more than that. Often people think this swooping is the bat diving in trying to attack people. This would occur when a bat is picked up or otherwise mistakenly contacted. HOW THEY GOT INSIDE: Bats can squeeze through extremely small gaps - 3/8 of an inch. So if you seal at night, you will be sealing some in.

There is a fairly narrow "window" for exclusions, which makes it impossible to perform all sealing, repairs, and exclusion work in that limited time frame. The next step is to shovel the bulk of the waste away and finish by vacuuming up the rest. This time period also happens to be the time when we receive most bat calls, due to a couple factors. A bite from a bat can be so small that a child might not realize it’s what happened. The first thing for you to do is to relax a moment. You'd be amazed at the holes you see at night that escape you by day, and the bat behaviors you see that ensure 100% success. The other commonly found bat is the Little Brown Bat. Working in the wildlife control business has allowed me to see this first hand. First off, I have to say that if you know what you are doing, you can solve your bat problem permanently. And, in addition to those hazards, they often leave behind an offensive odor that can be difficult to remove. Excluding the mother bats during that period would create a problem even worse than having the bats in your attic, as the young bats would die without their mother to feed and care for them.
