We have added 2 additional lifts to our equipment in late 2005. Trapping and removal of a bat in Texas can be tricky and should never be attempted if the bat was found in a room where people were sleeping. People who fail to research the subject will usually seal the holes during the day when the bats are roosting inside. While at your property, Alief bat control will identify the entry points bats are using to access your home and make recommendations to exclude them permanently. If the bats are going to fly right back to their established roost site area, why not just evict them from the structure and save them the hassle of flying back. Nuisance bats suspected of having rabies should always be left for professionals to remove.

HOW DO I GET RID OF BATS FROM AN ATTIC? Bat removal is not a simple task. If across a large fascia board, polynet is correct. There is no effective bat repellent for example that can do the job easily. The proper way to get rid of them is to exclude the colony – seal off 100% of possible secondary entry points on the home and remove all of the bats from the building safely.  Most homeowners policies will not cover any rodent damage or removal, but since bats are not rodents contacting your agent prior to an exclusion is suggested. It is often very challenging, and it must be done just the right way. An amateur attempt, by someone with no experience, or worse, a pest control company that uses bat poison, could result in disaster – dead, rotting bats, and bats swarming throughout the walls and the home. You may also want to read my hiring advice to know what to look for.

Aside from being illegal and immoral (even if you don't give a crap), every attempt I've seen has resulted in disaster for the property owner. You can also get this in a fogger or mister and it’s a good idea to use a cleaner like this as well. If you find that you are still not locating it at that point, then what you need to do is to start searching around the floor to see if you find where droppings from the bat may have landed. Simple in concept, but very hard to get right! And it is crucial that it is done perfectly, or you'll have a big problem on your hands. They then fly back out to feed some more. One of the major concerns is that, bats can transmit rabies to humans. They sometimes find their way into basements for the winter hibernation period. I do highly recommend that you hire a professional with experience to solve your bat problem. Instead of using traps, bat control is done by using a systematic exclusion program.
